Transparency is a core principle of Riga Trip. This page explains how the site earns money and how — if at all — that affects what you read.

Our affiliate programme

Riga Trip participates in the GetYourGuide affiliate programme (partner ID: LDXYA0P). GetYourGuide is an online marketplace for tours, activities and experiences. We link to tours available on their platform across Riga, Latvia and the Baltics more broadly.

When you click one of our affiliate links and complete a booking on GetYourGuide, we receive a commission. This commission is paid by GetYourGuide from their margin — it does not add any cost to your booking. You pay the same price whether you use our link or go directly to the GetYourGuide website.

GetYourGuide is our only active affiliate partner

As of the date of publication, GetYourGuide is the only affiliate programme active on this site. We do not have affiliate relationships with hotels, airlines, car rental companies, insurance providers or any other travel sector. If that changes, this page will be updated accordingly.

Does affiliation affect our recommendations?

We make every effort to ensure that our affiliate relationship does not bias our editorial content:

  • We only link to tours that we believe offer genuine value. If a tour is overpriced, poorly reviewed or a tourist trap, we say so — and we do not link to it.
  • We actively write about tourist traps in Riga, including guides that help travellers avoid being overcharged. See our Honest Riga hub.
  • Where free or self-guided alternatives are better than a paid tour, we recommend them.
  • The editorial team selects which tours appear on the site independently of any performance or revenue data.

How to identify affiliate links

Links that point to GetYourGuide contain the attribute rel="sponsored nofollow" in their HTML, as required by Google's guidelines and standard practice. Buttons labelled "Check availability", "Book now" or "See prices" are affiliate links. We do not disguise affiliate links as editorial text without disclosure.

Latvia-specific note

Latvia is an EU member state. Tours and activities on GetYourGuide for Riga and Latvia are subject to Latvian and EU consumer protection law. GetYourGuide GmbH is headquartered in Berlin, Germany.
